The Pittsburgh Panthers Men’s basketball team has had a lot of games over the last two weeks. But the most important one of all was against Texas, who is ranked third in the country. The Panthers faced the Texas Longhorns in the championship of the O’Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic in Kansas City, Missouri. This match up took place on Tuesday, November 24th. The Panthers kept the competition close until the closing minutes of the game, losing by a score of 78-62. Brad Wannamaker led the Panthers with thirteen points. After the loss to Texas, Pitt had a big win over Youngstown State 72-56. This season the Panthers have five wins and one loss. The Panthers’ next game is against neighbor school Duquesne University tonight.
