Ice Garden Collapsed on Valentine’s Day

February 17, 2010

It was a nice normal Valentine’s Day. People very giving their loved ones gifts, and taking them out to dinner or to a hockey game.  Those who went to the hockey game, had a more than terrifying day. When a call was made to Rescue 105 at 3:30pm they rushed to the Rostraver Ice Garden to find that it had collapsed. They interviewed people that were there and found that no one was missing. They say that a lady saw the ceiling crack and they immediately evacuated the building. Luckily, no one was hurt or injured.

Panorama of the East Coast

This Jan. 29 panorama of much of the East Coast, photographed by one of the Expedition 30 crew members aboard the International Space Station, provides a look generally northeastward: Philadelphia-New York City-Boston corridor (bottom-center); western Lake Ontario shoreline with Toronto (left edge); Montreal (near center). An optical illusion in the photo makes the atmospheric limb and light activity from Aurora Borealis appear "intertwined." Image Credit: NASA
