Aly’s Valentine Wish

A kindergarten girl named Aly has one very special wish……She wishes to have a ton of valentines, and i mean a TON of valentines. Shes been in the hospital since December. We are all trying to pile up valentines to give to this special girl. She is 5 years old, and all she wishes for is to have a few valeintines. Let’s work together to give her the best Valentines Day ever.

New Lab VS Old Lab

I am Justin, and I am taking the side if the old computer lab because since I am in eighth grade and I always used to play on the computer in my free time, but when someone decided to get the new computer lab, it spoiled my plan.

I am Dainel, and I am taking the side of the NEW computer lab. It isn’t crammed in with the eight grade room, and it is a brand new building! It has a white board, and a cool projecter. It is definitely the best of the two by a longshot!

Day Off Over, 2nd Nine Weeks Almost Finished

Last Monday, January 16, was Martin Luther King Jr. Day. St Sebastian Regional had off that day, so no one really came to school. Most people slept in that day, woke up and did what ever they wanted, or some of you woke up early, got breakfast, and probably went back to bed and did the same thing as before. Everyone, I hope, had a great day off, and I hope everyone is going to work hard the rest of the week because the report cards come out Thursday, January 26.

School is almost half way over, and that doesn’t mean you stop trying in school because it’s almost over. It doesn’t matter. Everyone in the school should work their hardest to try to get a great education while you’re at this school. So, work hard the next nine weeks, and get good grades.

Varsity 7th Grade 1-2

We put up a great fight in our last game against Mary Queen of Apostles. The final score was 30-28. We were leading going into half time 19-13. We had to travel all the way to New Kensington. The game was close the whole game, I think we will be succesful in our upcoming games.

Cellular Phone Recycling

This month at St. Sebastian Regional School, there is a box in the social hall and school office that is for used cell phones. It is where the students and their families can donate inactive cell phones.The cell phones you donate will go to support programs at St. Sebastian Regional School. The drive will benefit your family, the school and the environment by keeping the harmful materials the cell phones contain out of our landfills.

You can put the cell phones with their batteries in a bag and send it to school. Remember to include your child’s name so that he/ she can get a dress down pass. No chargers or accessories are needed.

Big Red Game Tonight

Geibel is hosting us tonight at 730. Our first game against MQA was canceled. We are ready with new jerseys and strategies. Our defense looks good, although our offense looks perfect. We will be ready, come prepared!!!

Snow Day Signs & Predictions

We often get a day or two off from school at this time of year. You can never be sure when, but you can use these tips to try and predict when you’ll get sleep in this season!

Temperatures below freezing can cause icy roads. Icy roads cause snow days when visibility is low, usually when it is snowing too hard to see the road.
Rain. Snow. Hail. Sleet. Freezing. Rain. Cats and Dogs. They’re all forms of precipitation that can either decrease visibility or freeze roads. Watch for them.
Snow on the ground. If there’s lots of snow on the ground already, and it’s below freezing, it’s probably going to stay or continue snowing.

And HERE’s some days to watch out for this year:

The twelfth and thirteenth have both freezing rain and snow, and the temperatures are expected to be below freezing. Friday the 13th may be a snow day.
The sixteenth is expected to be snowy, and the seventeenth is cloudy. Both are meant to be below freezing, and so these are days to watch. The eighteenth is also expected to bring flurries. Monday – Wednesday the 16th-18th may also bring us a school day.

Saint Sebastian Big Red

Our first game is this week, can not wait! The practices have been good. The teams are looking good. The seventh grade team is all seventh graders, but the eighth grade team has two seventh graders. It looks like our first game is going to be far, 90 miles!!!!!! I think we can pull off the long drive.

Christmas & New Years Break OVER!

The St. Sebastian Regional School students returned Tuesday Jan. 3, 2012. The students had eleven and a half days off, plenty of time to spend with the family on these two holidays. Josiah M. said, “Great, I got to see relatives and everybody had a good time.” I had a great time, I saw my relatives and I like to be with my family during the holidays. Christmas is a time to remember Jesus’ birth, and New Years is to celebrate a new year coming and an old year passing. I hope Everyone had a great Christmas and New Years, because now we’re back in school. We’re out of 2011 and now we’re in 2012, have a great year!
