Mr. Dorko’s big secret

After waiting months to ask Mr. Dorko a random question, I finally figured out what I should ask him, and that is- WHO IS GOING TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL?!? Not very random, I know, but it needs to be asked! His answer was: no comment. Then he ran off. Is our principal hiding something? The world...

Too Random for You!

It’s too random for you! Anyway I asked Mr. Dorko a very random question. I said, “How do you feel about Christmas trees that are snowed on.” Yes, snowed on. He said, “That is a very random question.” I said, “I know.” Well, his answer was, “I like stuffing more than mashed potatoes, but pizza...

Equations, Mr. Dorko, and Yes, More Wire Hangers.

This week, I asked Mr. Dorko a very random question. I asked him what his favorite coat hanger is. He paused for a minute , then he talked to Mr.Domiano, and finally he answered. He said A2+B2=C2, a very good answer .

Bacon, Mr. Dorko, and the Infamous Computer Battle of The Early 21st Century

When reviewing my last article for Mr. D’s Randomness, I realized that the question I asked lacked the power and integrity that we have come to expect at The Trojan News. I apologize for my obvious display of lack of bravery. I let down the staff, my friends, and my family. If I had...

Grass, Duct Tape, and Mr.Dorko

Today I asked Mr. Dorko a very random question. I asked him what he was going to do about the cold killing all the grass.  He answered with, “Duct tape fixes everything,” a very random answer. Thank you, Mr. Dorko, for the answer.

WHat IS Up wiTh mR. d’$ raNdomNEsS?

I asked Mr. D, our Principal, the greatest question in the entire world of randomness. I asked him, “Does chanting make it important if it is about squirrels?”  He said, 3 seconds later, “Ducks love disco. Loves disco.” That was more random than my question.

Pizza, The Office, and Mr. Dorko

I asked Mr. Dorko a random question this week. I wanted a question with integrity and bravery. I wanted to ask the questions no one dared to ask. I asked him a question so bold, children had to look away. “What is you favorite pizza topping?” He had to stop for a minute. I...

This week Mr. Dorko had yet another question that was very random and yet again he gave a very random answer. I asked him this week what the Pittsburgh Pirates record was this year, and he said leprechaun to unicorn. That was a very random answer.

Cabbage, Ties, and Mr. Dorko?

Each week, a staff member of the Saint Sebastian School newspaper will ask Mr. Dorko, our principal, a random question.  Mr Dorko then will respond with a random answer. After ten seconds of thought, I decided to ask Mr. Dorko what color his favorite tie was. He responded with a very reasonable answer…Me: “...

Composite of a Series of Images Taken From Space Aboard the Station

This is a composite of a series of images photographed from a mounted camera on the Earth-orbiting International Space Station, from approximately 240 miles above Earth. Space station hardware in the foreground includes the Mini-Research Module (MRM1, center) and a Russian Progress vehicle docked to the Pirs Docking Compartment (right). Expedition 31 Flight Engineer Don Pettit said of the photographic techniques used to achieve the images: "My star trail images are made by taking a time exposure of about 10 to 15 minutes. However, with modern digital cameras, 30 seconds is about the longest exposure possible, due to electronic detector noise effectively snowing out the image. To achieve the longer exposures I do what many amateur astronomers do. I take multiple 30-second exposures, then 'stack' them using imaging software, thus producing the longer exposure." A total of 47 images photographed by the astronaut-monitored stationary camera were combined to create this composite. Image Credit: NASA
