4,5,6 grade English Fest

This Friday is 4,5,6 grade English Fest. English Fest will be held Seton LaSalle High School. The books that they had to read this year were Marley and Me, Regarding the Trees, The Lottery Rose, and The Silver Dollar Girl. Good Luck!!

Talent Show!!!!!!!!

On June 4th, the last day of school,l we are going to have our anual talent show. Any student in our school, is able to participate. If you want to partic ipate turn in your form by this Friday May 21st. There will be many different talents liike singing, dancing, and much more! It will be really fun!

Preschool Graduation!!

The St. Sebastian pre-k class of 2010 will be graduating Wednesday the 26th, and another class will be graduating on Thursday the 27th. The class will be singing and dancing. Congrats!!!!!!

Penn State!!!!

The 7th and 8th grade students, who went to PJAS, did really well! There were four first places.: they were Lydia P., Zach P., Amanda F., and Billy B. There were also five second places: Matt M., Gina I., Justin S., Luke D., and Ricky H., and there was one third place: Jess C. Congrats!!!!

Dinner Dance!

On this Friday, May 12th, the 7th and 8th grade students are having their dinner dance at the Clubhouse Grille. This dance is really special for all the students, especially the 8th graders, because it is their last dance at St. Sebastian. The dance will be really fun; it will have great music, food, and games. We hope everyone will have great time!!!

Honors Reception

It’s finally here – the Honors Reception. This is the most rewarding part of the school year. It teaches the students who attend what an important lesson it is to get good grades and to only improve when leaving this school and moving onto high school. It also teaches the students who are not able to attend to strive to achieve the goal of being able to attend the Honors Reception. What happens at the Honos reception is all of the students fill out a paper telling Mrs. Warfield all of our achievements academically and also things that have occurred out of school. It’s also about being recognized in front of all of your parents and fellow honors attendants. I hope this article inspires you to always improve toward the academic part of the school year.

Penn State

On May 1st, the school held a car wash for the students who are going to Penn State for PJAS. They must present their science project and compete with students from other schools. They will be leaving May 16th and will be coming back on the 18th. Good Luck to all of the participants!

School Spirit Week- Wednesday

On Wednesday, May 5th, the whole school celebrated May Crowning. The second and eighth grade students got to play a special part in this. Alix R. carried down the flowers that were presented to Mary. Leo I. carried down Mary’s crown. Rachael S., the vice president, got to crown Mary to show we honor her. In the afternoon, we played the famous gameshow Minute to Win It! All the contestants were randomly picked, and our host was Mrs. Wilt. There were alot of fun and challenging activities, that were actually seen on the show. The contestants that won, were awarded a VIP dressdown day pass.

English Fest

On May 13th, the 7th and 8th grade will be going to Duquesne University for English Fest. They had to read six books then go to Duquesne to compete with other schools. They also get to meet Many Ly, the author of Roots & Wings. Good Luck tomorow!

School Spirit Week-Thursday

Thursday, May 6th, was Olympic Day. Mr. Brose, the gym teacher, had a different game for each class. There were many other fun things going on, but the best was the pie in the face. In first place was Mrs. Zakrzwski, second was Mr. Domiano, and third was Miss Plevel. When it was Mr. D’s turn, he brought Kennedi up to stand infront of him to take the pie for him…or as he thought. Just when she was about to get hit by Angela E., Kennedi moved and Angela got Mr. D! In the end, both Mr. Dorko and our student council president, Luke D., both recieved a pie in the face. They were both unhappy, but then Luke said not to trust Mrs. Stockey, who pied him.
