On Monday during School Spirit Week, our school celebrated Disney Day. On Disney Day, we all wore Disney clothes, watched Disney movies, and answered Disney trivia questions. We even ate some Disney-themed snacks! We had an awesome Monday!

On Tuesday during our School Spirit Week, we had Hawaiian day. We had fun activities like dressing up as Hawaiians. We had a Luau that all classes attended. We played tons of fun games at the Luau and had awewsome Hawaiian drinks that the teachers made. The point is we had an awesome Tuesday.

On Friday, May 14th, 2010, the second, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades are going on a field trip to The Folk Festival at the Monroeville Convention Center. The Varsity Red Volleyball team made it to the playoffs! They begin May 15th, at Geibel. Their record is 8-3. The girls have done great, and this is the first time they have ever been in the playoffs. We hope to see you there to root them on. Good Luck Girls!!!

On May 7th, the whole school will go on the St. Sebastian’s School Walk-a-Thon, where we walk around the track of Graham Street Park to raise money for our school. There will be a special “Thank-You” lunch of hot-dogs and chips afterwards! Remember to bring bottled water and wear cool, comforatble clothes. See you there!

During the Spanish Mass last week, the eighth grade girls celebrated the traditional Spanish celebration of turning 15, called a Quinceanera. The girls took off their old shoes and put on high heels and they gave baby dolls to younger girls as signs of growing up, and not being a little girl anymore.
