The first Spring Training game is only days away to get baseball back into action. The teams will have practice games all the way up until April 4.That is when opening day is. The Yankees might do it again with there very good team they have this year. Teams like the Pirates or Nationals might come out of the box and do very well this season. The 6th,7th, and 8th grade bagan rehearsing for the school Passion play on Tuesday, March 2nd, and Rehearsals will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Mrs. Antal started passing out parts for the play this week. Jesus will be played by Luke D., Mary (Jesus’s Mother) will be played by Angela E., Mary Magdalene will be played by Malea F., Veronica will be played by Rachael S., Claudia will be played by Emily W., Pontius Pilate is Mike S., and Judas is Nick M. The current date for the Passion play is Monday, March 29th. We hope to see you there!

This weeks teacher of the week is Mrs. Ochs. She got her undergraduates at IUP, and got her masters at Duquesne. She has just recently started working at St. Sebastian, actually just her first day was this school year! The only subject she teaches here is music, oustide of St. Sebastian, she is the vocal coach, of BVA’s school musical. When shes not at one of her jobs, she enjoys scrapbooking, and entertaing her kids. She hasn’t had a chance to have many, but her most memorable moment was The Christmas Program.

This is another Winter Olympics Update. We are going to be talking about men’s hockey for this addition of Olympics Update. Today Switzerland will be taking on the U.S. two teams that are very familiar with each other because most of the players play in the NHL with each other. The U.S is undefeated in Olympic play. Today was the anual Knights of Columbus Shooting Contest. There were five age group winners from both the girls and the boy group. The winners from the U-10 group were Joey Sabalack with 9 out of 15 shots and Britany Stawovy with 10 out of 15 shots made. The U-11 group winners are Samuel Miceli with 15 out of 20 and Kelsey Bachinski with 11 out of 15 shots made. the winners of the U-12 group were Joey Gruber with 9 out of 15 and Megan shearson with 5 out of 15 shots made. The winners of the U-13 group were Billy brown with 10 out of 20 and Lydia Perrozi with 6 out of 15 shots made. The winner of the U-14 group was Luke Doptis with 7 out of 15 shots made.
